Description |
More than 40,000 brightly colored lights covered the trees and shrubs in Temple Square in Salt Lake City as, for the first time the historic place was decorated for the Christmas season. An estimated 10,000 people viewed special ceremonies where President David O. McKay pressed the switch, turning on the display which is open to the public each evening. |
