Description |
Amtrak (National Railroad Passenger Corporation) 1262, a baggage car built of stainless steel which does not require paint. It was built for use on streamliners and was acquired by Amtrak when it bought equipment from the railroads for its trains. Stainless steel equipment costs extra, but it was bought by the railroads to make all cars on streamliners match and look attractive. January 1, 1990. Donor & Photographer: Mike B. Davis. |
