Men and women gathered outside A. M. Murdock's Pioneer Supply Store and Post Office. The town was settled in 1905 and named Dora after the daugher of A. M. Murdock, owner of the first store there. The name was later changed to Theodore but when a nearby town took the name of Roosevelt in 1915 Duchesne became the name of the town. |
