Description |
Differences in responses to the Nowicki-Strickland locus of control scale among Japanese, Japanese American and American college students were assessed. Both male and female subjects were included with 94 American, 60 Japanese Americans, and 46 Japanese participating. Results of a variety of analytic procedures revealed the Japanese to e significantly and substantially more external than the other two groups. The Japanese American were only slightly more external than their American counterparts. Possible reasons for these differences are presented. |
