Description |
This rare lesion is a well-defined malformation composed of redundant gray matter that projects from the base of the brain and is usually attached to the tuber cinereum or the mammillary bodies by a thick stalk. In a few cases, however, there is no such attachment. The hamartoma is usually quite small, measuring about 0.52.0 cm in diameter. |
