Description Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a demyelinating disease of the central nervous system. Females are three times as likely to develop MS compared to men. Optic neuritis (ON) is common in MS patients, and the effects of inflammation in the anterior visual pathway can be readily quantified with optical coherence tomography (OCT).
