Description |
This paper will explore the journey that was taken to create a French Teaching Curriculum which was to be used specifically in a middle school class. The age range is one crucial aspect to this project, as it is different than that of only junior high school students or older. Researching the specific pedagogy tied to this age range was made important through discussions with the faculty adviser for this project. Not only were these ideas researched through readings, but they were also explored through implementing them in the classroom and asking for feedback from current students. This curriculum has become a combination of written sheets for class work and homework ideas, but it also has suggestions for online support either through interactive games, music or other appealing, fun ways to incorporate learning for middle school students. It looks at the importance of educating in various ways because some students learn better through oral work, some through written work and still others through more tactile expression. |
