On Desert Shores: Archaeology and History of the Western Midriff Islands in the Gulf of California, Appendices A-E

The appendices describe the individual sites, structures, and artifacts recorded during the Inventory of Cultural Resources. Appendix A covers the islands of the San Lorenzo archipelago, Appendix B the west side of Isla Ángel de la Guarda, Appendix C the east side of Ángel de la Guarda, Appendix D the satellite islands of Ángel de la Guarda, and Appendix E covers the outlying islands outside the western Midriff islands proper. The account of each island, or in the case of Isla Ángel de la Guarda, each location surveyed, begins with a summary of the field work, specifying when the work was conducted, how many people were involved, and the duration. This is followed by the archaeological data for each site. Each site is designated with the abbreviation for the island or, in the case of Ángel de la Guarda, the abbreviation for the location surveyed, followed by the individual site number (for a list of abbreviations, see Tables I.1 and I.2 in the print or electronic book). Figures cited refer to those in the print or electronic book.
