Description |
his Senior Honors Project has been a study in Topology beyond that level which would normally be achieved in undergraduate work. More specifically it has been a course of independent study in the field of Dimension Theory. The course work was an extension of Introduction to Topology (Mathematics 551-552) and paralleled a graduate course taught in the summer of 1972 as Topics in Topology (Mathematics 777). The text for the course was Dimension Theory by Henry Wallman and Witold Hurewicz. The Foundations of General Topology by William J. Pervin was also used as a basic reference text. |
