"The advertisement calls were recorded from 1 to 2:30 PM at a meadow in Fresno County, California, at 9,200 ft. elevation; Air temperature was 37 degrees F; Water temperature was reported to me to be 20C (earlier when the sun was out); The toads were calling from shallow water running off from melting snow. There was lots of snow left on the ground, and as the temperature dropped and the meadow was filled with mist, the toads stopped calling. Calling was stimulated by a biologist who imitated the toad's call." -- Gary Nafis; Local Time: Recorded between 1:00 PM and 2:30 PM
