| Description |
The computerized Nursing; care plan is an integral part of HELP Nursing; subsystem. The frame technology, which is a new architecture for implementing a knowledge driven hospital information system, has been used to computerize the Nursing; care plan on the HELP system. Different methods of data retrieval and storage have been introduced, tested and compared in terms of programming speed and structure. A general and flexible model called “the frame-based model†has been developed. The model is flexible enough to accommodate the change of the Nursing; care plan database and it could be change of the Nursing; care plan database and it could be a general model for other applications on the HELP system. The model is able to integrate HELP decision support functions sot that the expert knowledge can be used in the automation of the Nursing; care plan. |
