Show A group photograph of 44 people mostly consisting of young students. The group is posed in three rows in front of what appears to be the schoolhouse in Scipio. The entire background of the photo is the white schoolhouse with three windows and two doors visible. The foreground of the photo appears to be dirt or grass. The students and adults are dressed in various types of light and dark clothing such as dresses, blouses, pants, dress shirts, ties, and jackets. The first row is sitting on the ground and the second row seems to be sitting on chairs. The third row is standing and Miss Maggie Ramsay (the First Mission Teacher) is standing at the left of the photograph to the side of all the students. The front of the photograph has handwritten numbers in ink identifying seven of the people in the photograph. Type on the back of the photograph identifies these seven people as:<br><br> 1. Hans P. This photograph is in very good condition and has no tears or folds. It shows slight discoloration due to aging and the only markings on the front are handwritten numbers and lines in black ink. The only marking on the back of the photograph is type including the title of the photograph and a list of names identifying seven of the people shown. |
