Description In August, 1989, a 34-year-old bank manager noted blurring of vision whenever he jogged. By December, 1989, the blurring had become constant and was localized to the left eye. He was otherwise healthy. Visualacuity was 20/20 O.D. and 20/400 O.S. There was a left relative afferent pupil defect measuring 0.3 log units (l.u.). Goldmann perimetry showed a small dense centrocecal scotoma O.S. and a narrow scotoma extending from the blind spot almost to fixation O.D.
