Ian Stout is an undergraduate student at the University of Utah. They discuss their personal views on the COVID-19 pandemic from the perspective of the social model of disease. Their commentary includes topics such as how American nationalism and individualism have affected the course of the pandemic, how their situation of being a member of a high risk household has shaped their views, and a general overview of their thoughts on vaccine hesitancy and mask wearing.
