Description Doug Heinrich talks about competition climbing which occurred at Snowbird Ski Resort, specifically the World Cups, then national competitions, and finally local competitions. Doug helped organize and course set at the competitions. Doug offers his perspective on the lasting impact of the international World Cups on the local climbing community. Doug also talks about inviting professional climbers to give slideshows in the 1980s at the University of Utah, which were sponsored by The North Face and the Outdoor Recreation Program. Later he discusses soloing and his risk tolerance, losing friends, gear design at Black Diamond, and glove-making for his company Aniiu.
