Text of the sixth annual Frederick William Reynolds lecture, delivered on January 14, 1942, by Orin Tugman, a professor of physics at the University of Utah. Tugman explores the scientific method through examples from the physical sciences "to create a wider appreciation of science as a way of thinking," with the "assumption that the way we think is more important than what we think."
