Show A view of the westside entrance of the Bamberger Hall Administration Building. The entrance accesses the bottom level of Bamberger. The grounds around the building are void of landscaping. An asphalt road runs parallel of the length of the hall. Reflecting off the windowpanes of Bamberger is Converse Hall. A parking lot and an undecipherable building are visible at far left. Two Volkswagen 'Bugs' are parked in a small lot located in the front of the north end of the building. Another lot can be seen farther north. This lot is bigger and holds a line of perpendicular parked vehicles. Trees can be seen in the skyline and on various parts of the property. They are bare of leaves which mean that this photograph was taken in either early winter or spring as there is no visible trace of snow on the ground |
Further Information |
This photograph bears some wear by way of handling. There are various indents and some of the corners/edges are slightly creased. On the back, written in red ink, is, "Administration Bldg." Bamberger was completed in 1969 and was part of the 1967 building plan instigated by President Manford A. Shaw. The purpose of the hall was to provide a permanent home for the administration who before hand had been bounced around from one campus facility to the other such as Converse Hall, Ferry Hall, and even Foster Hall for a small period of time after the Converse Hall fire of 1926. As of December 2003 Bamberger Hall serves as the administration hub for Westminster College. It houses the office for the President, the Academic Vice President, Financial Aid, Register's Office, Cashier's, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Institutional Advancement, Purchasing, Payroll, Plant Operations, Admissions, Alumni Relations, and Human Resources.
