Patients with Parkinsons disease may show a number of ocular motor findings. Steady fixation is often disrupted by square-wave jerks. Upward gaze is often moderately restricted, although this abnormality frequently is observed in normal, elderly persons. Convergence insufficiency is a common and often symptomatic disturbance. |
