Description |
In looking into possible topics to use for this project, I came across something vaguely familiar called the Fibonacci sequence (series). A few paragraphs in a text I was skimming noted how there is more to this series than one might expect. I decided to pursue it. Upon beginning my research into the series, I thought; I just might be able to find enough information to fulfill the requirements of this project. What I found instead was not only many articles dealing with the Fibonacci sequence but entire magazines and quarterlies devoted entirely to the Fibonacci sequence, its occurrences, and its applications. Thus, I was forced to limit my paper to those applications I found especially interesting and those which demonstrated the breadth of area in which the Fibonacci sequence has interest. If any of the following examples or information really spark the interest of the reader (I hope all of it does), further reading can be found in the references listed in the I selected bibliography. This list by no means covers all the material dealing with the series, but it may serve as a useful springboard. |
