William F. Bulkley came to Utah in 1908 as head of missions for the Episcopal Church and chaplain of Saint Luke's hospital in Salt Lake City. Ordained as a priest in 1909, he was rector of Saint Mary's Church in Provo from 1914 to 1929. Named archdeacon in 1925, he returned to Salt Lake in 1929. photographed places and people related to the Episcopalian Church in Utah during the early twentieth century and assembled the photos on poster boards. He traveled throughout Northern Utah lecturing with the poster boards to the mining communities and Native American Reservations. The poster boards are a photographic representation of his life and time with the Utah Episcopalian Church. The poster boards include photographs, articles, and hand drawn maps, none of them with an exact date. |
