Title |
A preliminary study of Salt effects in the germination of allenrolfea occidentalis |
Author |
Gold, Herbert |
Description |
Heavy concentrations of salts in the soils around the Great Salt Lake impose restrictive physiological difficulties in the germination and growth of plants. While most crop plants do not survive in soils having a total soluble salt content as high as 1.5% for example, this concentration is exceeded in large areas throughout the Great Basin. |
