Title Trail Etiquette best Practices Recommendations for SLC's be Wild Campaign
Date 2024
Description Trail etiquette seeks to create positive recreational experiences for all trail users. Achieving trail etiquette is a challenge and includes issues such as conflicts arising between users, users creating poor trail conditions under muddy conditions, and users failing to pick up pet waste. When poor trail etiquette is prevalent, users may feel unsafe or experience poor recreational experiences. Creating good trail etiquette is a challenge everywhere, Salt Lake City included. Salt Lake City's Department of Public Lands recently launched the Be WILD initiative to address not only trail etiquette, but more broadly a caring, respectful, and collaborative culture across all public lands. This project considers the best practices for addressing trail etiquette through a literature review
