Recording of a male Western Gray Squirrel caught in a cage trap; squirrel had been trapped as part of a study by the University of Washington and the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife on the Fort Lewis army base in western Washington; squirrel was examined by a biologist and was released; Habitat type: hardwood forest near wetland area with ash, oak and Douglas Fir; Conditions: mild temperatures; winds calm with high humidity and overcast skies; Recorded using Sennheiser MKH30 and MKH 40 microphones in a stereo MS pattern to a Sound Devices 722 recorder with a 44.1 kHz/24 bit sampling rate; Local Time: 8:35 AM
