View of the original house owned by North American Indian (Southern Ute Tribe) Chief Ouray and his wife (Uncompahgre Ute Tribe) Chipeta on their ranch near Montrose (Montrose County) Colorado. The abandoned building is constructed of adobe brick, has a flat dirt roof supported by vigas, two large windows and a large door opening. The building is in a state of disrepair. A large log ladder leans against the house. A small wooden enclosure is attached to the house. |
