Description Photo of Japanese American participants in the civil rights March on Washington, August 28, 1963.  They are standing near the Washington Monument.  Mike Masaoka notes in his autobiography that  seats were reserved for him and JACL President K. Patrick Okura on the platform at the Lincoln Memorial where Dr. Martin Luther King delivered his "I have a dream" speech, "but the crush of the crowd was so great that we were unable to get there."
