Additional Information Snowbird excavated a space for a large hotel in the mid seventies. They never built the hotel, but the area was re-purposed for a beginner ski school area in the winter and as event space in the summer. In order to use the area in the summer, a 15,000 square foot cement pad was poured and a tent was constructed. This picture shows the initial construction of the tent. The tent is dismantled and stored in the late fall and reconstructed in the late spring each year.
