Description Oct. 7, 2002-The Utah Area Health Education Centers (AHEC), a statewide program administered through the University of Utah's Health Sciences Center, recently received a $3.5 million federal grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The grant will be used to continue programs aimed at improving access to health care and preparing a workforce to serve the state's rural and medically underserved populations.
