Stain: Hematoxylin and eosin. Cross-sectioned dentinal tubules demonstrate: a light stained center with the odontoblastic process (Tomes' fiber); darker stained peritubular dentin (highly mineralized), also called Neuman's sheath. Intertubular dentin (less mineralized) is present between the tubules. |
