Description The long QT ECG has many causes: electrolyte abnormalities including hypo-K, hypo-Mg, and hypo-Ca; drugs including type I antiarrhythmics; CNS injury; and hereditary syndromes. Ventricular arrhythmias are thought to be caused by afterdepolarizations or triggered automaticity.
