Abstract In a 1987 interview with Everett L. Cooley, Alfred C. Emery (b. 1919) recalled his family, education at West High and naval service during WWII. The bulk of the interview has to do with his 48-year association with the University of Utah as student, faculty member, College of Law, and finally his terms as Vice Prestident, Provost, and President of the University-- 1930s-1980s.
