Abstract Ferrin ( b. 1925) recalls his Utah childhood and basketball experience at the University of Utah. He talks about playing for the Los Angeles Lakers, being general manager for the Utah Starzz, and being athletic director at the University of Utah. Subjects discussed include the relationship between academics and sports, athletic budgets, women's athletics, public relations questions, and the high and low points of his tenure at the university.
