| Description | "Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today to make a new ending." -- Maria Robinson The first U.S. recycling center opened its doors in 1896; but the U.S. still has a long way to go before it hits a perfect recycling stride. This project uses 3168 of the 80,000,000,000 aluminum soda cans used every year. Recycling one aluminum can saves enough energy to run a TV for three hours -- or the equivalent of a half a gallon of gasoline. The goal with this project is to awaken a sense of responsibility and inspire everyone to make conservation and sustainable living a meaningful daily ritual.
