1. One-page typewritten letter on Culbertson, Briggs and Pendleton, Attorneys and Counsellors at Law, Washington, D.C., stationery from William S. Culbertson to Dr. Atiya in Egypt, dated January 17, 1955. In the letter, Culbertson notes that, at the time, he does not have plans to "go abroad", but the new U. S. Ambassador to Egypt Henry A. Byroade would be headed to Egypt soon, and that Culbertson would provide a note of introduction, if desired. Also, Dr. Atiya had mentioned a Bob Culbertson in Beirut, and had inquired regarding their possible relation. William Culbertson replies that he does not know Bob Culbertson in Beirut or "what branch of the family he comes from." 2. One-page typewritten letter from Aziz Atiya in Egypt to William S. Culbertson in Washington, D.C., dated February 2, 1955. Dr. Atiya will meet with Bob Culbertson in Beirut in March and will mention William Culbertson. He mentions the Institute which will begin/open soon and has a "couple of hundred students |
