The letter contains several edits, so this may be a draft. 2. A one-page typed letter, dated January 25, 1951, on Indiana University stationary, addressed to Aziz Atiya from J. W. Ashton, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Indiana University. The subject of the letter is the possibility of Dr. Atiya teaching and lecturing at Indiana University for their Near Eastern Studies program as a supplement to his Smith-Mundt grant. A stipend of $250 per month is suggested |
