Description Page 1 and 2) A two-page typewritten letter from [unknown?] addressed to Professor Wallace, dated October 22, 1956. The contents of the letter is in regard to "contemporary Egyptian scholars, engaged on research projects, who might be suitably nominated as candidates for Fellowships which would enable them to spend a year in this country (United States) working with American scholars interested in their respective fields." The three names included are Murad Kamil (Egyptian University in Cairo), Fuad S. Atiya (Egyptian University), and Maher Kamil Gabriel (Higher Teachers' College, Abbassiya, Cairo, Egypt and the Coptic Theological Seminary in Cairo). A summary of these proposed candidates' areas of study, education, language skills, and other information that might be found on a curriculum vitae are contained in the letter. The letter is not signed. Professor Wallace may be Schuyler C. Wallace at Columbia University in New York City
