He was born in Scotland, joined the LDS Church in 1848, and served as a missionary until 1860, when he led an emigrating party to Utah. He lived at Providence, Cache County, and in the Idaho section of Bear Lake Valley. Typed by Mae Spencer of Logan in 1936
