Description Typescript of a biographical sketch of Sophronia Ellen (Turnbow) Carter. She was born in Alabama in 1841, and the family came to Utah in 1847, settling in Salt Lake City. With her husband, William Carter, she settled at Saint George in 1861. Author unknown, but copied for the Utah Works Progress Administration's "Pioneer personal history" survey
