Description Typescript of an autobiography by Heber Naegle (born 1864), also discussing his father, German immigrant John Conrad Naegle, who was part of the Mormon Battalion and in California before coming to Utah. The family tried raising grapes for wine, but mostly ranched cattle, and lived near Lehi, at Hurricane, and in Arizona. Includes references to Lot Smith, Brigham Young, Porter Rockwell, and John D. Lee. Copy made in 1934 by Louise Sleck, and transcript completed Sept. 27, 1937, by Floyd L. Eisenhour for the Historical Records Survey of the Works Progress Administration
