The marriage of Gordon Taylor Hyde and Florence Ivins on 17 February 1917 effected the union of three families whose Utah progenitors had been prominent in leadership at the very highest levels of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints: Anthony W. Ivins, Orson Hyde, and John Taylor. This collection contains papers of all five of the aforementioned people, plus papers of Gordon Taylor Hyde's parents, Alonzo Hyde and Annie Maria Taylor, and Elizabeth Ivins Hyde, the daughter of Gordon Taylor Hyde and Florence Ivins.
