Description The Ute Indian Fire fighters were called to action for the second time within a seven day period during July, 1970. They were flown to the Washington State where a rash of fires had plagued the northwestern area. There were about 45 fire fighters sent. The firemen had two crew leaders, Reed Tavapont and Chico Wissiup.
