Description Two pieces at the edging of rush mats that show different methods at the rushes. LTC-AF-27-A Piece that shows the ends of the rushes folded over a two ply cedar bark string and then caught just under the string with a binding. Length of fragment 18 cm (7 in.) LTC-AF-27-B This 12.5 cm (5 in) fragment has the two outermost rows of twining. the two rows are 3 cm (1.24 in) apart and another string goes continually around the outside binding and down around the second binding and back around the first. The ends of the rush strips are cut off just beyond the outer binding.
