Earl and Lloyd Calder impressed the audience with their roping tricks at the Vernal Rodeo. Paul Calder, a brother, explains the photograph. "Lloyd was riding the horse. As the horse approached Earl flipped a cartwheel and lassoed the feet of the horse. Photographer, Leo Thorne captured the image when Earl's feet were strait in the air making it appear that he was standing on his head. This brought a lot of cheers from the crowd." |
