"The Youth Education and Success (YES) working group is the first strategic planning group to be convened by University/Neighborhood Partners in direct response to the top priority issue that emerged from over 250 interviews conducted by U/NP's Director with west side residents and University representatives: increasing educational and development opportunities for west side youth." The YES Working Group identified three primary issues (need for greater access to higher education, improved coordination in training of teachers and staff, and more support for parents in navigating education), and made recommendations to address these issues, along with an implementation plan for said recommendations. |
