Description A group of Native Americans (Ute) pose for an outdoor portrait probably in Colorado Springs (El Paso County), Colorado. Chief Ouray sits and holds a felt hat and a rifle. Men have braids and wear sashes, choker necklaces, fur hair wraps, beaded bags with fringe, earrings, leather leggings, and moccasins and hold rifles or bows and arrows. Lettering in a window of a brick building reads: "B. H. Gurnsey Views."
