Show 2 For the first time we have electric light without put-put-put. Utah Power and Light has at last extended its lines to Bluff, and they were good enough to run the extra two miles out to the Mission. They deserve a "plug" for this, as it would take many years of profit on current to pay for it, and we feel certain that it was really an act of appreciation for the humanitarian work of our Clinic. Telephone service in Bluff has been improved, too, and there are actually street lights in the "Big City," a Chamber of Commerce is being formed, and the town is growing; trailer courts springing up everywhere, old buildings being rebuilt or modernized. Speaking of telephone: we still have no telephone at the Mission (except a private line connecting the Mission House with the clinic- saving many steps) but the Bluff Hotel - another new development - has, and the number is Bluff 4. The management of the Hotel has been more than kind in letting us use their telephone, and they will also try to get a messenger to bring us word of incoming calls. It is about three miles from the Hotel to the Mission, so that persons calling us should be prepared for a considerable delay, for a dollar charge for messenger service in addition to the toll, and they should also be as specific as possible regarding whom they want to speak to, and whether or not they would be willing to speak to anyone else.
