Show -2- opinion that he oould not have done otherwise than he has,and that all of his acts oorae clearly within his duty as Indian Agent and a representative cf the Department. It is therefore recommended that a copy ofthis report be forwarded to the Department of Justice with request that the United States Attorney for Utah bo instructed to appear on behalf of tho Indian Agent in case L.A. Pike brines 6uit against Agent Hull for damagos because of his refusal to allow him to reside on tho reservation, or to recover any property he i_ay claim thereon.
