In one set of agrcements,thQ3© I intend for the Uintah Utes,my compensation is fixed at vG5G0,and the period of my service at three years;in the other set of blanks which I intend for the Uncompshgres,the period o_2 service and compensation are left blank;! suggest that you make the period service for both tribes four years,instead of three,and If you can secure both tribes for me you can put the compensation for the Uncompahgres at &2000.per year- x x x x x These esses arc being pushed against the Indians ind tho Ass't Att'y General si one is unable oring to the vast number of cases he has to defend to make the proper defense in each case.
