Down south of the reservation here? No. There's no water down there, I guess, huh? No water down there. How about Pipe Springs? Did they ever have any little farms there? I guess them people used to farm there. The white people, probably. Yes. The Indians used to own that Pipe Springs? Huh? The Indians used to own that Pipe Springs before the whites came? D: Yes, way long time before the white people come. F: Did they used to own this spring where Moccasin is up here?: D: They used to own that spring, too. There's another spring way on this side where, that Mary Heaton--? F: Yes. D: Where she is living.. The Indians used to own them springs a long time ago. F: Did those white people pay the Indians for those springs when they came here or did they just move in. |
