Monjusoh here is most likely a hotel "annex" named Shohro [Truffles] Tei, which is closer to the temple Chionji. Among the most famous bamboo strands in Japan is located in the Saga area of Kyoto. Amanohashidate is a pine-covered sand spit whose name means "bridge to heaven." Image was scanned from color slide. Caption is from photographer's notes on slide |
