Threre are three distinct different views of Amanohashidate, depending on the location and the angle. This view from the south shore is the most famous of three. Amanohashidate is a pine-covered sand spit whose name means "bridge to heaven." Image was scanned from color slide. Caption is from photographer's notes on slide. |
